Paik Ki-wan (89 years old), director of the Institute for Unification Studies, will be held on the 19th.

According to the’Nonamegi World’s Chairman’s Funeral Committee for Paik Ki-wan’, Director Baek’s appointment will be held at Seoul National University Hospital at 8 am on the same day.

The Ungu procession ends at Daehak-ro and heads to Seoul Plaza at 9:30 am through Ewha Intersection, Jongno 5-ga, Jonggak Station Intersection, and Sejong-ro Intersection. Street Gut is also opened at the intersection of Jonggak Station.

When they arrive at Seoul Plaza around 11 am, the funeral committee officials light candles and begin the ceremony.

After completing the briefing of Director Baek’s bio, Father Moon Jeong-hyun investigates and Seo Jeong-suk, the chairman of the Korean National Dance Association, does a real marriage dance. Poet Song Kyung-dong reads Josi, and singer Jeong Tae-chun sings Jo-ga.

Baek’s younger brother, Baek-soon, greets him as the surviving family’s representative, and Yang Gyu-heon, former chairman of the National Trade Union Council (former labor union), greets each other.

Afterwards, the Ungu procession heads to Moran Park in Maseok, Gyeonggi Province, and the Pyeongto Festival is held at 2 pm following the unmission ceremony.

After the funeral procedure is over on this day, about 40 citizens’ incense centers, including Seoul National University Hospital’s funeral hall, are scheduled to stop condolences and disband.

An official from the funeral committee said, “There will be a time difference in the case of civil incense centers installed in Japan and the United States, but most of the incense incense will be over at the end of the ceremony.”
