The number of new coronavirus infections (Corona 19) is showing up to 400 every day, but the spread is not halting.
A total of 370 new confirmed cases were counted between the quarantine authorities and local governments, such as Seoul, from 0:00 to 9:00 pm on the 17th. There were 48 fewer than 418 at the same time the day before. Considering the recent trend in which the number of confirmed cases at night is not increasing, the number of new confirmed cases announced on the morning of the 18th is expected to reach around 400, or in the mid-400 range.
For a week from the 11th to the 17th of this month, the number of new confirmed cases per day recorded 465 → 488 → 490 → 459 → 382 → 363 → 469, with an average of 445 cases per day. Among them, the number of confirmed cases of regional outbreaks, which is a key indicator of the adjustment of the current distance-taking stage, is on average 427 per day, which is already in the range of 2.5 stages (over 400-500 nationwide, etc.)
The quarantine authorities are trying to lower the number of new confirmed patients in the metropolitan area to the level of 200, but the possibility of an increase is increasing.
The percentage of confirmed patients who do not know when and where they were infected exceeded 25%. Of the 6034 new confirmed cases in the last two weeks, 1549 cases are currently being investigated, accounting for 25.7% of the total. It means that 1 out of 4 confirmed cases does not know the route of infection.
As the weather cleared, the amount of social movement also increased significantly. As a result of the analysis of mobile phone traffic by the Central Accident Control Headquarters (heavy water version), the number of movements nationwide last weekend (3.13-14) was about 6.771 million, up 6.8% from 63.33 million on the previous weekend (3.6-7). Non-capital areas (11.2%, 3.41 million cases) increased more than the metropolitan area (2.8%, 910,000 cases).
