[시사뉴스 강민재 기자] Tiger Woods, who suffered serious injuries in the right leg and back in a car rollover accident, said he had successfully completed the follow-up surgery.
On the 26th (local time), Woods’ official Twitter tweeted, “Tiger was moved to the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles (LA) and completed a follow-up surgery this morning.” The post was posted.
“Tiger and his family want to express their gratitude for the great support and support they have received over the past few days.”
However, he said he would not disclose the situation related to Woods’ surgery and rehabilitation in the future.
On the 23rd, while driving in Los Angeles County, Woods suffered a major injury to his right leg in an accident in which an automaker overturned.
“Woods had two or more fractures in the right leg bone, and the bone was torn and protruded,” said CNN, director of the Medical Center at the University of Los Angeles (UCLA), where Woods first received treatment.
In order to stabilize Woods’ legs, the shin and calf bones were fixed with iron cores. The foot and ankle bone were inserted with surgical screws and pins.
The police in charge of this case suggested that he was seriously injured, saying, “Woods cannot remember the crash at the time of the accident.” Los Angeles County security officials have not released any videos related to the accident.
Meanwhile, Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center, which Woods moved, is a highly renowned place for sports rehabilitation.
CNN said, “The officials did not make specific announcements about the reason Woods moved to the hospital,” but said, “This place is known as a well-equipped sports medicine-related surgery and rehabilitation network.”
He explained that if Woods and his family want to continue receiving treatment at the hospital, there are many options in the rehabilitation side.
