[아시아경제 황수미 기자] As the speed of vaccination progressed more slowly than expected, the number of corona19 patients was increasing again in various parts of the world, and in Brazil, the death toll increased, and the old graves were dug up.

According to a major foreign press on the 1st (local time), it was reported that in Sao Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, there was a shortage of seats due to the explosion of deaths related to Corona 19, leading to the digging of the old tomb.

Reportedly, in a cemetery outside Sao Paulo, people in quarantine uniforms continued to excavate the remains of the old tomb until late evening with their bereaved families. Thousands of corona deaths are pouring out, and as the cemetery is saturated, old tombs are dug up to increase the number of seats.

A total of 419 bodies were buried during the day on the 30th of last month in Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo City, who is in charge of the funeral, said, “As the corona situation in Brazil worsens, handling of the body is emerging as a new emergency situation in Brazil.” He said, “We will do our best to keep the store working smoothly, such as opening the cemetery until 10 pm.”

Meanwhile, in the northern Amazonas state, where the first medical system collapsed in Brazil and the epicenter of the mutant virus, the number of Corona 19 deaths has declined sharply.

According to the Amazonas state health authorities on the 2nd (local time), the number of Corona 19 deaths from 3,556 in January fell more than 80% last month to 670. Accordingly, the state government has lowered the level of the Corona 19 crisis and partially eased the blockade.

However, experts warned that the vaccination has not been achieved as expected, and that even if the vaccination is vaccinated, if the quarantine guidelines such as social distancing are not followed, Corona 19 can re-proliferate at any time.
