A history expert once again pointed out an error about the contents of tvN’s’Naked World History’ broadcast, which was controversial over history distortion.

Seoul National University’s Western History Professor Park Heung-sik told Social Network Service (SNS) on the 31st of last month, “I saw a program for dealing with the Black Death in naked world history.” When it comes to this, I really don’t want to.”

Professor Park criticized “a doctor who had little understanding of medieval society and did not know how to interpret historical records, but only raised distorted perceptions of viewers.”

In terms of statistics or etiology, Professor Park explained that the recent interpretation was not reflected at all, and that unreliable historical data was interpreted as if it were true because it was not recorded by a person in the field. In addition, he pointed out that the contents of the lecture that’the hope of the Renaissance began in the process of overcoming the Black Death’ was “it happened at the same time, but to put it in perspective, the Black Death occurred after the Renaissance began.”

He said, “If I try to point out concretely, there will be no end,” he said. “I asked myself hard, but I didn’t use the contents I asked myself at all.” He criticized, “I’m sorry, but in order to convey the historical theme in this way, it is correct to abolish the program right away.”

Earlier, regarding the Cleopatra section of’Seol Min-seok’s Naked World History’, Kwak Min-soo, head of the Korean Institute of Egyptology, an archaeological expert, raised a similar issue. Director Kwak said, “There are so many things that are wrong in the relationship itself, so it is difficult to mention one by one.” He also advised, “Just don’t look at it,” he said, “I don’t think the content I asked was reflected well.”

In response, tvN admitted, “We sincerely apologize for some errors in the process of searching for vast ancient history data.” In addition, he said, “I will increase the number of advisory groups to prevent recurrence and humbly accept the opinions of advisory committee members in various fields.” After that, the program was reorganized as lecturer Seol Min-seok’s dissertation plagiarism controversy. The program, which was broadcast again after a month, is conducted by inviting experts in each field related to each subject as lecturers after Seol Min-seok gets off.
