Corona 19 infection is spreading from the’Doctor Marathon Club’ in Gwangju.
The number of confirmed cases increased to 16 as the number of doctors who attended the club meal meeting continued to be confirmed by the group and then to the nth infection.
According to the quarantine authorities on the 31st, Gwangju 964, 1052, 1066, and 1079 were members of the doctor’s marathon club and had a dinner together on the 17th.
No. 964 was a doctor in Nam-gu, Gwangju, No. 1052 in Naju, Jeollanam-do, and No. 1066 and No. 1079 were doctors in general hospitals in Gwangsan-gu and Seo-gu, respectively. Four out of five participants at the meal were infected with Corona 19.

As a result, the number of confirmed patients related to Gwangju Medical Sports Club has increased to 16. Of these, there are 10 doctors, 1 nurse, and 5 family members and acquaintances.
Initially, the quarantine authorities estimated that the indicator patients of serial infection by medical staff were confirmed patients with Gwangju No. 1049, whose path of infection was unknown, but the epidemiological investigation revealed that the indicator patients were Gwangju No. 1052, Gwangju No. 1066 and No. 1079.
However, the first confirmed cases and the path of infection by the Doctors Sports Club have not been confirmed.
