‘The worst yellow sand’ came, but… Most of the Korean peninsula’high altitude passing’

Yesterday (15th) China was hit by the worst yellow dust in 10 years. This yellow sand came to Korea with the wind. However, it was weaker than expected.

What is the reason, a meteorological reporter Kim Se-hyun, a meteorologist who majored in yellow dust, will analyze in more detail.

Sand storms hit the town like waves.

The storm is dark in the sand breeze.

This is the interior of Mongolia on the 14th.

With this sand breeze coming down, China suffered the worst yellow dust in 10 years.

The problem is that yellow dust from China is going back to Korea.

Air pollutants were added along with yellow dust by the wind.

In fact, the first yellow dust was observed this spring in Seoul and Gyeongbuk, Incheon.

However, unlike worries, I avoided the worst.

This is because most of the sand dust passed over the Korean peninsula as it was due to the influence of the barometer.

The dense yellow sand passed more than 1 kilometer in the air and only some fell to the ground.

The fact that the yellow dust was lighter was the fact that it passed at dawn, which is not the case during the daytime, when the air mixes well into the sky.

However, due to the influence of yellow dust, fine dust has been shown to be’very bad’ in many areas.

Fine dust in Seoul rose to 184㎍㎥, and Daegu and Gyeongnam Province recorded 343 and 425㎍㎥ respectively.

In the case of Gyeongnam, the concentration of fine dust has risen almost three times that of the very bad standard.

In addition, in many areas, fine dust at the level of’bad’ continues throughout the day.

Due to the nature of sand dust, it may look clearer than ultrafine dust, but that is why it is necessary to go out.

The Meteorological Agency predicted that if the atmosphere is more congested, the yellow dust can lead to a longer period.

In addition, we advised that people with respiratory illnesses or the elderly should refrain from outdoor activities when going out.
