The ’63rd floor employee-only lounge’ in Park One, Yeouido, Seoul, where the headquarters of LG Energy Solutions moved in this month is a hot topic.

LG Energy Solutions announced on the 24th that it has relocated its headquarters to Parkone Tower 1-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul this month, and prepared the entire 63rd floor of the building as a dedicated space for employees.

This is a single office building in Korea that reaches the maximum height of 318 meters (m) and covers an area of 1,636 square meters (495 pyeong) and can accommodate 170 people.

An official at LG Energy Solutions said, “It is unusual for the entire top floor of the building to be allocated as a space for employees only. It is composed of a space where you can enjoy a variety of smart walking including a stage as well as a comfortable rest in a modern cafe atmosphere. “I have.”

The company organized a lounge dedicated to communication on the 63rd floor with a cafe, a stage, and a smart working space. It explains that it was created so that employees can use it in a comfortable atmosphere through sensational furniture arrangement and modern interior.

Comfortable sofas and tea tables are placed in the cafe so that employees can relax comfortably and freely network with members. Swings, beanbag sofas and tables are arranged by the window so that employees can enjoy the view while looking down the Han River.

A beam projector and simple stage facilities were placed in the stage space so that members could hold town hall meetings and lectures at any time. Jong-Hyun Kim, President of LG Energy Solutions, also recently held an in-house online town hall event to communicate with new employees using a video conferencing system in this stage space.

The smart working space is composed of a space dedicated to business travelers, a collaboration space, and a multipurpose space where members can work comfortably in various ways according to their work needs. Considering that the proportion of overseas business is about 90% and the number of overseas employees is twice as large as that in Korea, the space dedicated to business travelers is designed so that business travelers can perform work without inconvenience when working at the headquarters.

It is also noteworthy that the office space has been completely improved so that employees can work without physical limitations such as time and space, in line with the on-tact era. The company first got rid of the TV in the conference room. In addition, more than 100 state-of-the-art IT devices that can conveniently perform various collaborative tasks such as video conferencing and digital white boards, and about 60 conference rooms where small-scale personnel can conduct video conferences were also installed.

On the 8th, LG Energy Solutions held an’in-house online town hall event’ to communicate with new employees at the communication lounge on the 63rd floor of the headquarters located in Park One Tower 1 in Yeouido. The right side of the picture is Kim Jong-hyun. Photo = LG Energy Solution

There is also a’super intensive seating’ that blocks three sides with partitions to help improve work immersion. This can be used when intensive work is required, such as for employees at headquarters to complete assignments in a short time or take online training. This seat is not a fixed seat, but is operated as an autonomous seat system that members can freely reserve and use if necessary.

Lee Seung-hwa, senior director of LG Energy Solutions, said, “Because we exchange opinions in a comfortable atmosphere like a cafe, not a meeting room with a hard atmosphere, we can give opinions more freely than before, and it makes us feel like working while having fun, so the efficiency is good.”
