Even though there was an accident in which two aircraft collided at Jeju International Airport, there was still a flight with passengers.

Jeju Air and Air Seoul airliners crashed at Jeju airport on the 8th

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 11th, at around 4:50 pm on the 8th, near the international apron of Jeju Airport, the left wing of Jeju Air 7C606 and the tail wing of Air Seoul RS906 were rubbed by an accident.

At that time, it was reported that 151 passengers on Jeju Air airliners and 171 passengers on Air Seoul airplanes. However, it is said that the Air Seoul aircraft did not know the facts and operated with passengers and confirmed the crash only after arriving at Gimpo Airport. It is known that the Jeju Air aircraft also confirmed this fact only after going to Gwangju Airport and returning to Jeju Airport. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to investigate the accident and punish any violations of laws and regulations such as the Aviation Safety Act. An official from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said, “The Aviation Accident Investigation Committee determined that it was not an accident or a quasi-accident, but a minor aviation safety obstacle.”

Earlier, on September 29, 2017, there was an accident that a civil aircraft and military aircraft preparing to take off at Jeju Airport almost collided on the runway. At that time, the aircraft that took off after receiving the normal take-off permit saw the naval military aircraft moving and stopped suddenly on the runway, and the runway was closed for about an hour as the civil aircraft wheel burst.
