Even if 99% of others drew it for you, if an idea (Hwatu) came from Youngnam Cho, that would be the picture of Youngnam Cho. That is the principle of contemporary art. That’s why I set the title of the book as’This Damn Guy’s Contemporary Art’.

Fortunately for my trial, the Supreme Court ruling was also acquitted. Those who are not interested in art may not know well, but the case of’Jo Youngnam’s Masterpiece of Art’ was indeed a worldwide ruling. Because even when my’masterpiece case’ was brought to court, neither a lawyer, a prosecutor, nor a judge could find any precedents for my case. So my trial was the first trial in about 150 years of contemporary art. That is why the Supreme Court also paid special attention to the plan to hold a so-called public hearing on the Cho Young-nam trial within the Supreme Court trial. The intention was to make a clear judgment in anticipation of not only domestic but also global judgments. I, as the accused, politely asked if I would like to accept the hearing.
