Over 60 new coronavirus infections (Corona 19) patients came out in Busan for two consecutive days. Since noon on the 2nd, the social distancing has been increased from step 1.5 to step 2, but the spread of Corona 19 remains. The Busan city health authorities revealed on the 3rd that as a result of examining 2,850 people the day before, 63 people were infected with Corona 19. Following 65 on the 2nd, more than 60 new infections came out for two days in a row. The cumulative confirmed cases increased to 4010.

As a result of an epidemiological investigation by the health authorities, 38 of the additional confirmed cases on the day were found to be related to entertainment establishments. There were 8 users and 30 contacts. As a result, the number of infections related to entertainment establishments increased to 232 (50 workers, 60 users, and 122 contacts).

As for the infection route of 92 people infected with entertainment related contact confirmed up to the day before, 28 family members, 13 acquaintances, 13 co-workers, 35 contacts at indoor sports facilities, and 1 person at school, academy, and church.

At the public bathhouse and sports facility in Saha-gu, Busan, where group infection was confirmed the day before, 9 additional users were confirmed, and the cumulative confirmed number increased to 34. The health authorities have secured a list of 1880 visitors to the facility, and have diagnosed 777 people by the day before.

At the Yeonje-gu welfare center, one contact was confirmed, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 53. As for the confirmed cases of the Gamcheon Port business site in Seo-gu, Busan, two employees in quarantine and one contact were confirmed, resulting in a total of 25 confirmed cases.

Other confirmed cases added on this day were found to have been infected mainly by contact with family members, co-workers, acquaintances, and other confirmed cases. By location, there were 2 indoor sports facilities, 3 general restaurants, 1 PC cafe, and 1 pharmacy.

The establishments found were 3 entertainment bars and 2 general restaurants, including 3 violations of the Food Sanitation Act and 2 violations of the Infectious Disease Prevention Act. An official from the Busan Police Agency said, “We will cooperate with local governments to inspect businesses that violate the quarantine rules and continue to check whether entertainment facilities are illegally operated.”
