The Small and Medium Business Federation and the Federation of Korean Trade Unions visited the representative office of the Democratic Party with Lee Nak-yeon on the 23rd to discuss measures to improve the system to eradicate unfair trade between large and small companies.

From this year, the Federation of SMEs and the Korean Federation of Trade Unions are jointly promoting joint projects such as operation, investigation, and research on the unfair trade improvement report center to bridge the gap between large and small businesses and create healthy SME jobs. Along with Lee Nak-yeon, the Democratic Party representative visit was also promoted to urge related legislation such as the subcontracting law in order to improve unfair trade.

In an interview on this day, the Small and Medium Business Administration and the Korean Federation of Trade Unions suggested that the subcontracting law be revised as soon as possible based on the investigation on unfair trade between small and medium-sized enterprises conducted from September to November. did.

“Small and medium-sized companies account for the majority of the total operating profit, and the average wage of SME workers is only 58.6% of large companies,” said Kim Ki-moon, chairman of the SME. For growth, unfair trade must be eradicated, and active legislation and support systems must be prepared at the party level.”

Kim Dong-myeong, chairman of the Korean Federation of Trade Unions, said, “The practice of vertical exclusive transactions due to the power imbalance between large and small and medium-sized enterprises has made life more difficult for SMEs and SME workers. As it is a task, I hope that the National Assembly will make efforts to revise related laws.”
