It is known that Samsung Electronics is preparing for a new form factor (device type) that automatically enlarges and then shrinks the smartphone screen. It is a method of unfolding like a’LG rollable’ instead of the foldable type of foldable that was previously introduced.

On the 1st, Dutch information technology (IT) media Let’s Go Digital unveiled the contents of the smartphone patent’dual slide type electronic device’ that Samsung Electronics applied to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in March last year.

According to Let’s Go Digital, Samsung’s slide phone has two gears and one gear rail, so the display can be unfolded. The screen size can be expanded by about 30% from 6 inches to 8 inches. Let’s Go Digital explained, “Samsung’s slide phone is a form in which the display hidden inside the device is pushed out of the device.” .

I also mentioned the camera. As for the front camera, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, a punch hole camera with a lens in the center of the top of the display is selected, and the rear camera is expected to be in the form of several vertically connected lenses.

As for the release timing of Samsung Electronics’ slide phone, he said, “We will have to wait until early next year.” It is predicted that Samsung Electronics will release the foldable phone Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the form of an S Pen attached this year, and the Galaxy Z Fold FE, a modified version of this at a lower cost. He said, “The slide phone is likely to be released next year.”
