Interest is being focused as Samsung is the only one of the four major domestic groups to open recruitment of new college graduates soon in 2021.
According to the business world on the 14th, Samsung affiliates, such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics, are expected to announce the public announcement of third-level (college graduate) new employees in 2021 after the 15th.
As major conglomerates have switched to regular hiring, the expectation of job seekers is also rising as Samsung enters into a large-scale public hiring. Currently, some affiliates, such as Samsung Display, Samsung Engineering, and Samsung SDI, are holding recruitment briefings.
After receiving the application, the final candidates are selected through document screening, Samsung Job Aptitude Test (GSAT), and interviews. Following the introduction of the online GSAT last year due to the influence of Corona 19, it is expected to conduct the online GSAT in May this year.
Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong of Samsung Electronics has shown active steps in recruiting new employees since 2018. It is also known that 40,000 new recruitment promises have been kept during 2018-2020. The’Samsung Youth Software Academy (SSAFY)’, which provides software education for job-ready students, is also popular. It is expected to produce 10,000 graduates by investing 500 billion won in operating expenses by 2024.
In addition to this, Samsung has been actively hiring this year in addition to college graduates. Samsung Electronics’ semiconductor division hired large-scale career positions and high school graduates last month, and the set division hired a robot development career. The home appliance business in Gwangju has hired a new high school graduate in eight years since 2013.
According to the Samsung Electronics Business Report, the number of employees at the end of last year was 109490, and it is expected that this year will exceed 110,000. In addition to Samsung Electronics, other affiliates, such as Samsung SDI and Samsung Life Insurance, have also hired careers.
