The home of the late Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee, who passed away in October last year, has maintained the position of the most expensive individual detached house in the country for several years.

According to the Seoul Real Estate Information Inquiry System on the 19th, Chairman Lee’s home in Hannam-dong (1245.1㎡) was found to have an official price of 43.15 billion won this year. It was up 5.63% (2.3 billion won) compared to 40.85 billion won last year.

According to business circles, Chairman Lee owned four houses in Itaewon-dong, Samseong-dong, and Seocho-dong under his name. Among them, Hannam-dong has been the most expensive detached house in the country for several years.

This house has risen to a similar rate (52.4%) when the public price of high-priced standard single-family homes surged by more than 50% in 2019. Last year, the increase was reduced to 2.6%, but it was counted at 40.85 billion won, exceeding 40 billion won for the first time.

As in previous years, the second most expensive house in the country was Lee’s house in Itaewon-dong (3422.9㎡). It rose 2.2% from 34.2 billion won last year to 34.960 billion won this year.

The house in Hannam-dong (2604.78㎡) of Shinsegae Chairman Lee Myung-hee, who ranked third, posted an official price of 30.65 billion won this year, an increase of 6.6% from 28.84 billion won last year.

The official prices of former presidents’ homes have also risen a lot. Former President Chun Doo-hwan’s house in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu (419.5m2), rose 7.9% from 3,37 million won to 3,274 billion won.

Former President Lee Myung-bak’s home in Nonhyeon-dong (1299.1㎡) rose by 13.9% from 10.160 million won to 1.57 billion won. .

By region, the public price increase rate of standard single-family houses in Dongjak-gu was the highest among Seoul this year at 12.86%. Individual single-family houses also showed a higher rate of increase compared to other areas.

In fact, the home of former President Kim Young-sam (340.94㎡) in Sangdo-dong, Dongjak-gu, jumped 23.6% from 1.33 billion won to 1.61 billion won.

Other nearby detached houses (224.73㎡) rose 12.9% from 540 million won to 569 million won, and another house (110.42㎡) rose 15.3% from 440 million won to 466 million won.

On the other hand, the publicly announced prices for individual single-family houses released on the same day can be viewed from this day to the 7th of next month. Afterwards, the final public price is expected to be determined after receiving an objection.
