In January of this year, the nationwide unsold housing volume reached a record low since 2000 when related statistics were compiled. Compared to a year ago, it is rapidly declining by about 60% and is rapidly exhausting.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 28th that as of the end of January, a total of 17,130 unsold homes across the country were counted. It decreased by 9.9% compared to the previous 19,005 households. Compared to a year ago (43,268 households), it decreased by 60.4%. This is the lowest number since 2000, when the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport began to collect statistics on unsold sales. Until just before, the lowest unsold nationwide was in April 2002 (17,324 households).

The number of unsold homes nationwide reached its record high in March 2009, after the global financial crisis, and then decreased gradually. Since then, it has maintained the level of 40,000 to 60,000 households. Recently, the number of unsold apartments has been rapidly decreasing as house prices and rental prices have soared nationwide.

The metropolitan area decreased by 12.7% compared to 1861 households (2131 households), and in the provinces, 15,269 households decreased by 9.5% compared to the delivered (16,744 households). After the building was completed, the number of’unsold after construction’, which is classified as a malicious unsold because it cannot be sold, was 10,988 households, an 8.5% decrease from October (10,2006 households).

The supply of Seoul is gradually decreasing. In the case of Seoul, the number of housing licenses to measure the future supply was 21.1% lower than last month (3417 households) to 2695 households. Compared to the 5-year average volume (5573 households), it decreased by 51.6%. In particular, the number of apartment licenses in Seoul decreased by 56.8% compared to the same month last year (1626 units) to 703 units. Compared to the five-year average (2571 households), it plunged 72.7%. In January, the national housing license volume was 26,183 households, an increase of 9.2% compared to the same month last year (2,3978 households).

In January, apartment sales in Seoul were 173 households, a 67.7% decrease from the 5-year average (535 households). The country was 13,454 households, an increase of 50.6% from the 5-year average (8934 households).
