On the 12th, the Blue House introduced President Moon Jae-in’s dogs and cats through Facebook and Twitter.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, President Moon will not hold family gatherings and will stay with cats and dogs, such as Jing Jing, Maru, Tori, and Bear.

Maru, the cat Jingjin and the Poongsan dog, was brought from her sister’s residence, and Tori, who was an abandoned dog, adopted it in 2015. Poongsan Dog Gom-i was presented by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in 2018.

President Moon finished a video call with the people the day before and delivered news of his dog and cat to his staff. President Moon said, “Everyone is older,” he said. “It’s a pity that the activities are gradually decreasing. They are also walking as time passes.”

He said, “Jingjingi once jumped up to the window sill at once, but now I can’t because I’m older,” he said.

President Moon also introduced an anecdote that “the older Jing Jing yi leans on him, the more he reads the news at the official residence. President Moon said, “When I work at my desk in the official residence, (Jing Jing) comes up on the desk and disturbs me,” said President Moon.

His wife, Mrs. Kim Jeong-suk said, “When I first came, my joints were bad, but after taking a lot of walks, I became active.”
