Democratic Party candidate Park Young-sun and People’s Power candidate Oh Se-hoon, who ran for the Seoul Mayor’s by-election, fought a fierce battle at the last TV debate on the 5th. As it was the last, the two candidates poured out their firepower. There were several scenes where the voice was raised. Candidate Park focused on Candidate Oh’s individual, bringing out all the controversies in the past, including the suspicion of the land in Naegok-dong, and launched an offensive. On the other hand, Candidate Oh worked hard to emphasize the message of the “regime judgment”.

1. The late, focused on Naegok-dong land…吳, Park pointed out the pledge

Throughout the debate, Candidate Park inquired about Oh’s land in Naegok-dong, Pastor Kwang-Hoon Jeon’s speech at a meeting, controversy over free meal voting, Phi City, and the Yongsan tragedy. He launched an offensive, saying, “Do you or will not be with the Taegeukgi meeting of the former pastor?” “I provided lunch boxes to the Parents’ Union and opposed meals for children.” It was a strategy to question Candidate Oh’s’qualities’.

Candidate Oh pointed out Park’s pledges. Regarding ’21 multi-nuclear cities’, he asked, “If you create 21 city centers, 4 autonomous districts will be omitted. Where are they?” In addition, he said, “No matter how much you spend in the vertical garden, 10% of Namsan’s oxygen is produced.” They pointed out the pledges that were lacking in reality and launched a’tweezers offensive.

2. 朴 is “a lie, lie”, 吳 is “President·Moon Jae-in Government”

The most frequently used word by Candidate Park is “false”. He mentioned a total of 12 times, and focused on the part that Candidate Oh changed his words during the process of clarifying the controversy. He launched an offensive against Candidate Oh, saying, “A lie confuses Seoul,” and he replied that “Park’s existence itself is a lie” when he heard that the Democratic Party changed the party constitution and made the candidate. Candidate Park said, “You’re talking very badly.”

Candidate Oh’s frequently used words are “President” and “Moon Jae-in Government”. The total number of times the two words are mentioned is 11 times. They mainly pointed out the real estate problem of the current regime and the job problems of young people. Candidate Oh said, “The president said that there is no problem with the economy and real estate,” and said, “If the person who closed his ears is not a dictator, what is it?”

3. “Fashion Sense” and “Female Role Model” praise

The two candidates also had time to praise each other. Candidate Park said about Candidate Oh, “I think I have a very good speech” and “I have a better sense of fashion than other people.”

Candidate Oh said to Candidate Park, “The Korean society continues to break through the glass ceiling for women, so you can lead 4 and be spectacular.” “For your daughters, be a good role model for young women.”

4. Re-emphasizing the core message

In each of the closing remarks, the strategy that had been unfolded so far was re-emphasized. Candidate Park said, “If a liar candidate becomes the mayor, what can we teach our children? I will make a Seoul where my heart can overcome lies.”

Candidate Oh said, “As the early expectations of the Moon regime turn into disappointment and anger, the approval rating falls and comes out with my expectations.” He said, “I am afraid of the anger of the younger generation that the older generation has lowered the nationality raised by Son Heung-min and BTS.”
