On February 27th, the K-League will start the regular round of 8 months.

The Korea Professional Football Federation (Governor Oh-gap Kwon) confirmed the schedule until the 33rd round of the K-League 1 regular round of the 2021 season and announced it on the 28th.

The official opening game is the match between Jeonbuk Hyundai and FC Seoul, which will be held at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium at 2 pm on the 27th of next month. In Jeonbuk and Seoul, managers Kim Sang-sik and Park Jin-seop, respectively, announced a new start this season. In Jeonbuk, the’defending champion’, Ilyuchenko, Ryu Jae-moon, Choi Young-jun, and Kim Seung-dae fill the void left by Son Jun-ho and Lee Dong-guk. In Seoul, a new team color centered on captain Ki Sung-yong is expected. It is also of interest whether the recruiting players such as Na Sang-ho and Park Jung-bin are active. At 4:30 pm on the same day, Daegu FC and Suwon FC meet at DGB Daegu Bank Park.

The next day, February 28, at 2:00 p.m., Pohang Steelers and Incheon Utd meet at Steel Yard, and at 4:30 p.m., Suwon Samsung and Gwangju FC will play a match at Suwon World Cup Stadium. On the national holiday of March 1 at 2 pm, Ulsan Hyundai, where manager Hong Myung-bo was appointed, will play the first game of the season against Gangwon FC. At 4:30 pm on the same day, Seongnam FC and Jeju Utd meet at Tancheon Sports Complex.

The matchup between rival teams is also raising expectations. Ulsan and Jeollabuk-do, who had competed to win the 2019 and 2020 seasons, will have their first confrontation on May 26 at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium. The first’Super Match’ between Suwon and Seoul will be held at Suwon World Cup Stadium on March 21, and the first’East Coast Derby’ of Pohang and Ulsan will be held at Pohang Steel Yard on March 13. In the East Coast Derby, attention is focused on the performance of Shin Jin-ho, who moved from Ulsan to Pohang. In addition, the season’s first’Suwon Derby’, which was successfully promoted by Suwon FC, will be held on March 10 at Suwon Sports Complex.

‘Friday Night Football’ continues this season. A total of 12 Friday night games will be held, one for each team. The first’Friday Night Football’ this season is a confrontation between Pohang and Daegu on April 2nd at Pohang Steel Yard.
