The government has decided to extend the suspension measures for flights departing from the UK by two weeks to block the influx of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) mutant virus into the country.
According to the Korean Embassy in the Republic of Korea on the 24th, the government decided to extend the suspension of direct flights departing from the UK until the 25th for an additional two weeks until March 11th.
Earlier, the government temporarily suspended flights departing from the UK to Incheon, South Korea from December 23 to 31 last year due to the outbreak of a mutant virus in the UK. Since then, the suspension has been continuously extended.
From this day on, all immigrants entering Korea must submit a negative confirmation of the gene amplification (PCR) test issued within 72 hours of the departure date.
In addition, they must undergo self-isolation and re-examination before self-isolation after diagnostic tests in temporary living facilities.
If the PCR negative confirmation is not submitted, the facility will be quarantined for 14 days after the temporary living facility diagnostic test. At this time, all costs are carried out at their own expense.
In addition, the government decided to extend measures to suspend issuance of quarantine exemptions to persons departing from the UK.
In principle, countries with mutant viruses had to stop the quarantine exemption system, and those exempted from quarantine had to submit a negative PCR test within 5 to 7 days after entry.
The Korean Embassy in the UK said, “Please refer to the currently operating indirect flights.” Please be sure to check in advance through the etc.”
