The government is planning to achieve the era of 300,000 future cars this year, and install 30,000 electric chargers (including 3,000 quick chargers) and 100 hydrogen chargers. The Ministry of Environment raised the target of supplying low-emission vehicles (electric, hydrogen, hybrid vehicles) by automobile manufacturers from 15% last year to 18%. Electric and hydrogen cars were designated as 10%. It also plans to purchase more than 80% of new vehicles used by public institutions as electric and hydrogen vehicles. For private companies, it will induce the’K-EV100′ project to convert 100% of its vehicles to electric and hydrogen vehicles by 2030.

It also improves the poor charging environment. The Ministry of Environment is planning to strategically deploy chargers by type to solve the inconvenience of charging future vehicles.

For electric vehicles, 30,000 chargers will be strategically placed this year by establishing an optimal location system. Super-fast chargers that are three times faster than existing chargers will also be expanded. In the case of hydrogen charging stations, a nationwide deployment plan will be established to build 180 units by this year, and special cases for permits and licenses and support for fuel costs for operators will be promoted.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong said, “As consumers point out the lack of charging stations and long-term charging as reasons for reluctance to purchase electric vehicles, it is urgent to shorten the charging time with the expansion of charging stations.” The division will lead the way and install 2280 units directly.”

“We will install 289 units in places with high accessibility and profitability through support from private businesses, and 300 units through support for building chargers at existing gas stations that can be conveniently used by drivers.” “We will actively support power, site security, and construction so that 43 units can be installed and more than 80 units can be installed by automobile companies.”
