Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myeong widened the gap with the Democratic Party representative along with Lee Nak-yeon in a survey on the preferences of the next presidential candidate of Gallup Korea, an opinion poll released on the 5th.

This is the result of asking, “Who do you think is good as the political leader who will lead Korea in the future, that is, the next presidential sentiment?” According to the results received as a free response, Governor Lee Jae-myeong received 27%, Lee Nak-yeon 10%, and Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol 9%.

After that, Ahn Cheol-soo, the representative of the National Assembly Party (5%), followed by Hong Jun-pyo, an independent lawmaker (2%). 6% cited other people (including 27 respondents less than 1.0%), and 40% did not respond to a specific person.

Governor Lee’s preference rose 4%p compared to the previous month’s survey, but CEO Lee’s preference remained unchanged from the previous month’s survey. Accordingly, the difference in preference between the two was 17%p. President Yoon’s preference fell 4%p compared to the previous month’s survey, and CEO Ahn’s preference rose 2%p compared to the previous month’s survey.

Governor Lee’s preferences have also risen among Democratic supporters. The preference of the Democratic Party supporters for this branch was 45%, up 2 percentage points from the previous month’s survey. On the other hand, the preference of Democratic Party supporters for Lee was counted at 23% without any change compared to the previous month’s survey. This is a point to be noted given that the party’s presidential candidates are usually elected through the internal primary.

Even among the shamans and the middle class, who can measure the expandability, the preference of this branch was ahead. The preference of shamans for this branch recorded 14%, up 3%p from the previous month’s survey. The shamans’ preference for Lee was 3% unchanged compared to the previous month’s survey. The preference of the middle class for this branch was 28%, up 4%p from the previous month’s survey, and the preference of the middle class for Lee was 9%, up 2%p from the previous month’s survey.

On the other hand, the survey was conducted by interviewing a telephone investigator. The sample error is ±3.1%p with a 95% confidence level. For detailed survey summary and results, refer to the website of Gallup Korea and the website of the Central Election Polls Review Committee.
