After vaccination for the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) began in Korea, 1.83% of the entire population completed the first vaccination for 36 days.
According to the Corona 19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team on the 3rd, 38,58 people were newly vaccinated the day before.
As a result, the number of people who completed the first vaccination since the vaccination began on February 26 in Korea was counted as 953,556.
The vaccination rate compared to the domestic population (52 million) is 1.83%.
Of the cumulative primary vaccinations, 853,579 people received the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine, and 99,000 people received the Pfizer vaccine.
The previous day, 6,177 Pfizer vaccinations were added, and the cumulative 2nd vaccination was 26,380. The cumulative total of the first and second doses of Pfizer’s vaccine is 126,000.
Currently, the government is vaccinating AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines at the initial volume.

The AstraZeneca vaccination was expanded to include those who were hospitalized and workers under the age of 65 in nursing hospitals and nursing facilities on February 26, first responders to Corona 19, and workers at hospital-level or higher medical institutions. The vaccination for people over 65 years of age has also begun.
The Pfizer vaccine was assigned to workers in the Corona 19 treatment hospital, and vaccination began on February 27, and the second vaccination is in progress from the 20th of last month.
Also, from the 1st of this month, the Pfizer vaccination is in progress for the elderly over the age of 75.
Both vaccines require two doses. The AstraZeneca vaccine is given a second dose every 10 weeks and the Pfizer vaccine is given every 3 weeks.
