The first female vice president of the Korean Football Association was born

Eunah Hong (41, photo) Ewha Womans University professor was elected as the first female vice president of the Korea Football Association (KFA).

On the morning of the 27th, the KFA held a general meeting of delegates at the Jongno-gu Football Center in Seoul, and appointed 22 executives and two auditors including Professor Hong and the vice president.

Chairman Chung Mong-gyu began his third term as the 54th KFA president, and six vice-chairmen were decided on this day.

Professor Hong, who served as Korea’s leading female international judge, was elected as the vice-chairman who will be responsible for the administration of women’s soccer and referees.

Professor Hong is the first woman to become KFA vice president.

Professor Hong, who became the youngest Korean international referee in 2003, served as the first non-British referee in the 2010 England Football Association Women’s FA Cup. He was named as a referee for the opening game of the Football Federation (FIFA).

After retirement, Kim Byung-ji (51), the chairman of the Sports Culture Promotion Agency, was also elected as vice-chairman. In addition, Dae-eun Kim (56), President of the Jeonbuk Football Association, and Professor Lee Yong-soo (62), Sejong University, have been newly appointed as vice presidents. In addition, Vice Chairman Cho Hyun-hye (61) and Vice Chairman Choi Young-il (55) were reappointed. Previously, Pan-gon Kim (52), Chairman of the Power Reinforcement Committee, Geung-Yeon Jo (60), Chairman of the Competition, Daewoo Yoo (69), Chairman of the Ethics Committee, and Chang-hee Seo (58), were re-elected.

In addition, Lee Chun-soo (40), former head of the Incheon United Electric Power Reinforcement Office, was newly appointed as the chairman of the Social Contribution Committee.

KFA also appointed Shin A-young (34), announcer and Kim Jin-hee (40), game supervisor, as directors to reflect the various voices on the scene.
