[아시아경제 김봉주 기자] In Pennsylvania, USA, a man in his 40s shot and killed a neighboring couple who were struggling over the issue of clearing the snow.

According to The Sun et al. on the 1st (local time), Stephanie Salavantis District Attorney General of Lucerne County, Pennsylvania, said the couple in front of her house in the Plainstownship Hudson District were shot and killed at 9:30 am.

The couple who were killed in a record blizzard that day were identified as James Goi (50) and Lisa Goi (48). The murder suspect was found dead in his own house as neighbor Jeffrey Spade, 47, who lived in the opposite house.

The prosecutor Salavantis said that there had been a long-standing dispute between the victims and the suspects, and that the dispute escalates this morning due to disagreements over the snow removal work.

The local police said, “There is a possibility that there was a dispute over whose yard the eyes were put aside before.”

According to the police, Spades, who had quarreled with the Goi couple this morning, went home and grabbed a pistol. Spades, who came out with a pistol, fired at a neighboring couple until the magazine was empty. It was then confirmed that a total of 15 to 20 shots were fired, such as bringing an AR-15-style rifle and shooting two more shots at each couple.

The moment the police, who received a neighbor’s report and dispatched, knocked on the door of the house to arrest Spade, another shot came from inside the house.

Meanwhile, in the northeastern part of the United States, including Pennsylvania, it is predicted that from the evening before, heavy snow of up to 61 cm will fall depending on the region due to snow accompanied by strong winds. Currently, storm and weather warnings are in effect in the United States across 20 states.
