A wave continues to commemorate the death of an old nurse in the United States.
This is because it is known that he was infected with Corona 19 and died while guarding the emergency room overflowing with confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), delaying retirement.
Batty Greer Gallagher, 78, who worked in the emergency room at the Coosa Valley Medical Center, Alabama, is the protagonist.
Galliger closed his eyes on the 10th at the hospital where he was working. It was his 79th birthday tomorrow.
CNN reported on the 19th (local time) that Gallagher died on the 10th after working as an emergency room nurse for 43 years.
He is known to have been called’Mother’ in the emergency room.
According to his colleagues, he has always bought hamburgers on his way to work for his patients, as well as his colleagues, and for his colleagues who couldn’t get enough meals in an urgent emergency.
Here he met her husband and raised two sons as nurses just like himself.
In particular, Gallagher showed up in the emergency room with a hamburger in hand on the third day after staying at home for two days, although his colleagues recommended him to retire when the corona 19 spread in March last year.
And he said to a colleague, “I am an emergency room nurse,” and “I can’t stop taking care of patients until I die.”
Afterwards, Gallagher spent the last 10 months in the emergency room with his junior nurses, guarding the patient as he said, where he died.
He was breathless a month ago, and he was tested positive for Corona 19.
The doctor advised me to seek treatment at a dedicated hospital, but Gallagher declined.
The reason was that I wanted to be with my colleagues until the end. Eventually, he closed his eyes with two sons and dozens of nurses watching.
Gallagher’s story was belatedly known as his colleagues uploaded a video of his life on TikTok, a video sharing app.
