It is not until 2014 that she promises to become a midwife and enters the nursing department of a local medical school. However, a conflict began again between the daughter who wanted to become an operating room nurse and the mother who demanded to follow the midwife’s license as soon as possible. Nozomi said in court, “Mothers who didn’t go to college had an academic complex, ignored nurses and respected doctors.” So I wanted my daughter to be a midwife who looked like a doctor to people who weren’t nurses.

Nozomi, mentally impoverished, began investigating suicide methods on the Internet. On January 19, 2018, she finally confessed to her mother that she wanted to become a nurse, but her mother criticized her daughter, saying, “I fell into a pit of misfortune because of you. I am a traitor.” Nozomi killed her mother by stabbing her on her face that night with a knife in her throat, damaged her body, and dumped it on a riverbed near her house. Two months later, the body was found, and Nozomi was arrested on charges of abandoning the corpse and then again on charges of murder.

“De facto imprisonment for 10 years.. prison is more comfortable”

Nozomi, who claimed her mother committed suicide at the first trial in 2020, was sentenced to 15 years in prison. In the ruling, the court announced the reason for the sentence, saying, “Even after the defendant became an adult, he has been severely interfered and there is room for sympathy over the course of the crime.” Afterwards, he admitted to the murder and reflected on the second trial, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The sentence was confirmed as the defendant and the prosecution did not appeal until February.

Experts pointed out that “in the case of’educational abuse’, it is difficult to realize that parents are forcing their desires on their children, and it is difficult for outsiders to intervene.” He advised that you should ask for a consultation.

In an interview with Kyodo News, Nozomi confessed, “My mother’s educational method was difficult, but I thought it couldn’t be helped at the time,” and “life in the detention center is more comfortable than at the time when I was like a prisoner.” Still, he said, “I had to understand my mother’s pain and anguish a little more and ask for help from outside,” he said, saying that he deeply regretted his actions.
