It is known that some countries that have purchased a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine made in China have late regrets.
This is because delivery delays occurred due to the opaque effect.
The New York Times (NYT) reported on the 26th (local time) that some countries that have purchased the Chinese-made Corona 19 vaccine are experiencing internal pain due to delivery delays and opaque data.
The Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia are representative countries.
The Philippines has criticized some lawmakers for purchasing the Chinese vaccine, and the government is struggling with public opinion that Singapore and Malaysia will start vaccinating after proven effectiveness.
This internal conflict in these countries is due to the unreliable data on Chinese vaccines.
Initially, the immune effect of Chinese vaccines was known to be over 90%, but only 68% in Indonesia.
Recently, a study has shown that the effectiveness of vaccines made in China is only over 50%.
To make matters worse, delivery delays are also a problem. Turkey, which has signed a contract to supply Chinese vaccines, promised to supply 10 million doses of Synovac vaccine to the public in December last year.
However, only 3 million times were secured by the beginning of this month.
Brazil also decided to import 2 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine produced in India due to delays in supply of vaccines from China.
Currently, China has completed contracts with more than 24 countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia with low prices.
Although China tried to increase its influence on the international community with the Corona 19 vaccine, the delay in delivery and controversy about the drug efficacy are adversely affecting the NYT analysis.
