On the 11th, the Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Association said, “Although all the facts will be revealed through additional field investigations by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the Binex incident is a crime that cannot be tolerated. This is because it should never happen to pharmaceutical companies that produce drugs that have an impact.”
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety recently confirmed the voluntary change in the volume and manufacturing method of main raw materials for Binex, and took measures to suspend manufacturing and sales of 32 items consigned to production from 24 companies.
The Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Association is extremely sorry for this incident and is taking it very seriously and seriously. Apart from the measures taken by the government authorities, such as additional investigations by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the association thoroughly grasps the facts as soon as possible, and takes decisive measures such as referral to the ethics committee against Binex, and taking this incident to the consignment production process We plan to respond quickly to meet the trust and expectations of the people, such as checking the overall status of quality management.
The association said, “The association and the pharmaceutical bio industry will try to prevent similar events from recurring in the future.” He said, “We will do our best to rationalize the quality control of pharmaceutical products and the co-development system for consignment, such as actively cooperating with the legislation of the National Assembly.”
The association has already proposed to the government to limit the number of outsourced and co-living items to four, including the original manufacturer, taking into account all the problems arising from the outbreak of generic drugs in 2017. It has consistently made efforts to meet the expectations of the people at midnight with member companies.
Since most pharmaceutical bio companies are striving to comply with the pharmaceutical quality control and pharmacy law in order to meet the heightened public eye and the rigorous review of regulatory authorities, the exceptional deviations and offenses of certain companies turn into trust in the entire industry. The association said, “We cannot help but regret that this incident has occurred at this point in which national interest and expectations for the domestic pharmaceutical bio industry have risen unprecedentedly due to the Corona 19 pandemic. I promise to the people once again that I will do it.”
