Mesh Korea, which operates the logistics brand VROONG, announced on the 11th that as a result of analyzing delivery data last year, it was found that Korean food outpaced chicken.
There were fluctuations in the delivery category ranking. Until 2018 and 2019, the order was burger, chicken, Korean, snack, and dessert, but last year, it changed to burger, Korean, chicken, dessert, and snack. The proportion of Korean food jumped from 10% in 2019 to 15% last year, surpassing chicken by a slight difference, and rose to 2nd place, and desserts also surged from 8% in 2019 to 11% last year, ranking 4th, far ahead of snacks. .
The breakthrough in Korean food and dessert is analyzed as the biggest cause of the increase in the number of meals at home due to Corona 19. Demand for Korean food products, mainly soup, stew, soup, and side dishes, as well as burgers and chicken, which had previously been actively delivered, increased, and the demand for cafe desserts continued due to restrictions on coffee shop visits. It is an analysis that it is increasing.

Convenience stores where you can purchase a variety of products, including food, have also increased significantly. Compared to 2019, it increased by 212% in 2020, and especially, shipments between night delivery (10pm to 4am) surged 434%, showing a trend of active 24-hour delivery orders. It was found that the demand for convenience store delivery at night is high as the proportion of orders at night accounts for 12% of all orders.
In line with the changing delivery trend, Mesh Korea has expanded its delivery category to various cafe brands such as Ediya, Twosome Place, Paul Bassett, Caffe Bene, Seolbing, SPC Paris Baguette, and Baek Dabang from 2018, as well as CU, GS25, 7-Eleven, etc. It has been in charge of delivery of representative convenience stores. Since last year, it has secured a Vureung truck and a distribution center, focusing on delivering products in a wide area quickly and at reasonable prices on the same day, in real time, and in the morning.
Jeong-beom Yoo, CEO of Mesh Korea, said, “When companies focused on product production and development to meet the needs and demands of rapidly changing customers, we made every effort to prepare everything to deliver the product in the fastest and most effective way.” “We will innovate the rapidly changing distribution and logistics market into a total digital logistics service.”
