As of the end of 2020, the average house price of housing pension subscribers was 370 million won, and the average monthly payment was about 1.40 million won. In December of last year, as the upper limit on housing prices was eased and residential officetel residents were also able to join, the increase was 38% from the previous month.

According to the Korea Housing Finance Corporation on the 13th, the average house price for housing pension subscribers as of the end of last year was 370 million won. This is a 3.4% increase from 292 million won in the same period last year. The average monthly payment of housing pension was 1035,000 won, up 2.3% from the previous year.

The total number of subscribers was 81,205, and last year, 10,172 new people joined the housing pension. In particular, the number of housing pension subscribers in December last year recorded 1169, a 37.5% increase from the previous month (850).

According to the amendment of the Housing Finance Corporation Act in December of last year, the upper limit on the housing price that can be subscribed to a housing pension has been eased from 900 million won based on the’market price’ to 900 million won based on the’public price’, and that residential officetel residents are included in the subscription. It is interpreted as having an influence on the back.

On the other hand, the housing pension is a product for the elderly over 55 years of age to receive a fixed amount of money every month as collateral for their housing. It has the advantage of being able to live a stable retirement life through pensions while continuing to live with the current resident. Since its introduction in 2007, more than 10,000 households have joined each year.
