On the 21st (local time), the British The Times reported that the political opponents of the concubine Shininat Wongwachirapakni, 35, who recently returned to the Thai royal family, are spreading naked photos of Shininat.

According to the media, over 1,000 nude photos, believed to have been taken by Sininat from 2012 to 2014, were sent to British journalist Andrew McGregor Marshall, who wrote a critical article on the Thai monarchy.

Marshall said on Facebook, “The dozens of chapters contain very explicit images,” and “It is possible that Sininat was photographed to send it to King Maha Wachiralongkorn (68).”

He explained that these photos appear to have been leaked for the purpose of interfering with Sininat’s lottery.

Pavin Chachabalpongfen, a Thai scholar who was prosecuted after criticizing the Thai monarchy and currently living in Japan, is also known to have received such a picture.

Shininat was a former nursing officer and worked in the Royal Guard, and was rebuked as a concubine in July of last year. He was favored enough to be given the title of ‘Spouse of the King’ in about 100 years in the history of the Thai royal family, but he was deprived of his position for ‘pretending like a queen’ after three months.

Afterwards, in September, the king decided to reinstate Sininat and restored both the status and rank of’the king’s spouse’.

It is known that amid the long-standing anti-government protests demanding monarchy reform in Thailand in recent years, Sininat alone met with supporters of the monarchy, helping the king regain popularity.

Experts say Shininat is being used as a tool to promote the image of a’happy family’ of the Thai royal family.
