The market capitalization of Tesla, an electric car maker in the United States, surpassed Facebook and rose to fifth place.

On the 8th (local time) in the US New York Stock Market, Tesla ended the market at 880.02 dollars (960,000 won), up 7.84% (63.98 dollars) from the battlefield.

Along with the soaring Tesla share price, its market capitalization surpassed $800 billion for the first time ever. Tesla rose 11 consecutive trading days to this day. The market cap increased to 834.1 billion dollars (910,837 billion won), surpassing Facebook and becoming the fifth largest company.

Facebook, which gave up its seat to Tesla, declined slightly that day and ended at $267.57 (290,000 won). The market capitalization was estimated at $762.1 billion (832 trillion 2132 billion won).

CNBC broadcast analyzed that “After Tesla overtook Facebook, Apple, Microsoft (MS), Amazon, and Google started to pursue the parent company Alphabet.”

At present, Apple’s market cap alone exceeds $2 trillion, ranking first, and the market caps of Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet exceed $1 trillion.

Tesla’s stock price rose more than 700% last year alone, and even this year, it is showing a rally in good performance prospects. Morgan Stanley raised its target price to $810 on the 5th, citing the growing demand for electric vehicles and the fact that Tesla is building a new plant to expand production.

However, there are many pessimistic opinions. Michael Burry, CEO of Science Asset, who accurately predicted the US’s Surf Prime mortgage crisis, warned that “Tesla stock price will plummet like the’Surf Prime mortgage’ (non-good mortgage loan) crisis.”
