“I came out with a new politics in 2011, but those who oppose Representative Ahn say,’What did you do?’” (Former Democratic Party member Keum Tae-seop)

Ahn “To prevent the damage to the rule of law… ”Response
“Moon Government Real Estate Misunderstanding”

“Neither I nor Candidate Geum (became political) have been in 10 years. Candidate Geum knows that the initial intention and will to reform politics are still the same.” (CEO Ahn Chul-soo, National Assembly Representative)

It was a reunion after six years. The’Debate on the unification of the 3rd zone of Seoul Mayor Ahn Cheol-soo and Geum Tae-seop’ held at 4 pm on the 18th was a confrontation between Chang (Geum Tae-seop) and Shield (Ahn Cheol-soo). Geum Jeon was the head of the camp situation manager Ahn Chul-soo during the 2012 presidential election, and three years later, when Ahn left the new political alliance, he broke up.

Rep. Geum said, “The biggest problem in the Moon Jae-in administration is disagreement. The opposition candidate should point out the misconduct of the Moon Jae-in administration,” he said. “However, Ahn is receiving criticism from many places that there is a problem with communication.” “After joining the Democratic Party in 2014 and leaving the party in 2015 (2018), communication was continued in the process of the founding of the Barun Future Party.” I haven’t been able to contact you,’ he said. Accordingly, CEO Ahn said, “It is not true. I often experienced misunderstandings in the process of communicating.”

Rep. Geum Jeon also criticized Ahn’s running for mayor of Seoul as “changing words.” “I said several times that I would not run for the mayoral election in Seoul. Do you have to take responsibility for your own words?”

Representative Ahn responded, “It wasn’t an easy decision.” “No matter how hard I prepare for the presidential election, I have heard a lot of saying that losing the mayoral election in Seoul is of no use.”

Past remarks were also controversial. Rep. Geum Jeon pointed out, “CEO Ahn said,’Aren’t Taegeukgi people more patriotic than anyone else’, and shouldn’t we persuade those who claim to be extreme?” In response, Ahn said, “It is not helpful for politicians to divide the people into a dichotomy. I was speaking with the intention of making efforts for national integration.”

In particular, they clashed over the issue of LGBTQ people. Rep. Geum Jeon said, “Ambassadors from major foreign countries go around the queer festival, but there are no Korean politicians. When a mid-century politician went to the (queer) parade as the mayor of Seoul, it would make a small but important change,” said Ahn. “If a queer festival is held in Gwanghwamun, there are people who do not want it. The right to reject should also be respected.” Rep. Geum said, “I think how difficult it is to go to a society without discrimination. I am very disappointed.”

The criticism against the Moon Jae-in administration was similar. Regarding real estate policy, “The first problem is the lack of understanding in the real estate market. The start of the problem is the simple thought that the price of a house will fall when the tax bomb is hit by multi-homed people.”

As for personnel matters, “The appointment of former Minister Cho Kook tells us everything. It was a characteristic of government personnel to give seats to those who owe them to their hearts.” (Keum Tae-seop) “In the entire talent pool in our country, only our side, among whom I have met, only those who listen to me well” (Ahn Cheol-soo) . Regarding Corona 19, it was argued that “when the mayor of Seoul becomes the mayor of Seoul, we will provide 2 million won each month for six months” (Keum Tae-seop) “Social distancing is too stupid and unscientific” (Ahn Cheol-soo).
