Former lawmaker Geum Tae-seop and former Justice Minister Cho Kuk, who ran for the Seoul Mayor’s by-election, had a war over past memories in connection with the deprivation of the prosecution’s right to investigate. Rep. Geum Jeon criticized the law for separating the right of investigation and prosecution by the Democratic Party as “a legislative with self-interest.”

Rep. Geum Jeon said through Facebook on the 26th, “We are taking the authority from an organization that doesn’t listen and is moving it to an organization that seems to be able to hear it well.” “The abuse of the police’s authority is a much bigger problem for ordinary citizens than the abuse of the prosecution’s authority.”

Rep. Geum said, “In the first place, it was Moon Jae-in’s government policy to maintain a special department by the prosecution. In terms of qualitatively and quantitatively, he raised a special prosecution department than any other regime in the past. I have good memories of screaming and fighting with the former head of the country over this issue.”

He said, “Because the prosecution thought it was on his side, I didn’t budge. Then suddenly, 180 degrees changed after the motherland crisis. My God, does this make sense? What kind of reform is this?”

In response, former Minister Cho told Facebook, “I remember having a debate with Congressman Geum Jeon during the time of the senior civilian politician and when I met with Won-sik Woo, a member of the hospital to pass the law to adjust the police and prosecutors’ right to control. I have never screamed and fought. It was the same in other meetings,” he refuted.

Former Minister Cho said, “The reason for this meeting was that Congressman Geum Jeon, a member of the ruling party’s judiciary, was strongly opposed to the airlift. He maintained an absolute opposition position, and on the premise that he opposes the proposal to adjust the optometrist’s authority.”

He added, “Though I repeatedly said, this mediation was the product of compromise and compromise between the two ministers of Justice and Haeng-an at the time.

Rep. Woo Won-sik, who was the representative of the hospital at the time, also posted a post on Facebook, saying, “My memory also coincides with former Minister Cho. I don’t know why Congressman Geum Jeon is talking like this.”

Rep. Woo said, “I remember it as the seat I made as the representative of the hospital in opposition to the airlift. At that time, there was a controversy over the pros and cons of the air defense ministry,” he added, adding, “I have no memory of seeing both former Minister Cho and former lawmaker fighting loudly.”
