The production team of Capcom announced that they are developing the Monster Hunter Rise PC version with the aim of launching in 2022.

Ryozo Tsujimoto, PD of Capcom, delivered the news about the development of the PC version through an interview with the domestic media, Monster Hunter Rise. PD Tsujimoto said, “We are developing the PC version with the aim of early 2022. It is difficult to reveal the details yet, but I would like to inform you that it is scheduled to be released.” This is the first time that the production crew officially mentioned the supported models other than Switch for Monster Hunter Rise.

Monster Hunter was a console-oriented game, but starting from the world, it also stood out on PC. Monster Hunter World, which was released through Steam in August 2018, reached the 3rd place in the ranking of Steam users with the highest concurrent users on Steam at the time of release. In addition, using the PC version as a foothold, Monster Hunter World has surpassed 10 million copies in 7 months of launch, and is recording the highest worldwide shipments (16.8 million) among a single game released by Capcom as of December last year.

However, at the beginning of the Steam release, multiplayer errors, incomplete optimizations, and numerous nuclear users emerged as problems. While the service progressed, some problems were improved, but the first impression was poor. In addition, whether PCs with higher performance than Switches can show more advanced graphics quality and frames, and whether keyboard/mouse control, which was pointed out to be somewhat inconvenient compared to controllers on a world basis, is improved in Rise also raises concerns.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released on the switch on March 26th, and officially support Korean. As a hunter in Kamura Village with advanced seasonal skills, you must prevent the cataclysmic of’Baekryong Night’ where numerous monsters attack the village. A new companion Garuk will appear following Airu, a rope bug used for both movement and attack, and a large number of new monsters will appear, including Magaimagado.
