Suwon Samsung and Jeonbuk Hyundai’s’Emotional Goals’ have deepened. The two clubs, who had not had a good relationship, are in fierce confrontation with the’Baek Seung-ho incident’. It is an aspect of attacking each other persistently enough to resemble a war.

On the 3rd, the match between Suwon and Jeonbuk was held in the 7th round of’Hanawon Q K League 1 (1st Division) 2021′ at the Suwon World Cup Stadium. The first two teams face-to-face after Seung-ho Baek confirmed joining Jeollabuk-do. Baek Seung-ho did not play, but K-League fans named the match’Baek Seung-ho Derby’.

Suwon fans attacked Baek Seung-ho, who joined Jeonbuk while ignoring Suwon’s support as a youth. The day before the game, some Suwon fans provocateed with posters such as’There is no traitor to Suwon’s squad’,’Rice XX is Jeollado’, and’There is no future in soccer without faith.’

On the day of the game, the emotional fight reached its peak. Suwon fans put a bet on the stadium:’There is no justice, no line, no intelligence, no common sense’. This is a twisted “diss” by Jeonbuk owner Eui-sun Eui-sun, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, Jeonbuk advisor Park Ji-sung, and Jeonbuk coach Kim Sang-sik. Without stopping here,’A dog and intelligence’,’A magpie repays grace’,’Ah behind the scenes! It is cheaper than 1.4 billion won!” and “High pass unpaid fee of 1.4 billion won” was introduced. The 1.4 billion won is the amount of damages Suwon demanded from Baek Seung-ho.

In the game, Jeonbuk won a complete victory. Jeonbuk scored the opening goal of Choi Bo-kyung in the 20th minute, Ilyuchenko’s second goal in the 28th minute of the second half, and Barau’s third goal in the 35th minute of the second half. Suwon only scored a goal in the 45th minute of the second half. Jeonbuk players responded with a 3-1 victory to the strong provocation of Suwon fans.

The Jeonbuk club was not still. After winning the massive victory, Jeonbuk counterattacked through official social media (SNS) with phrases such as’Common sense to win’,’Intellect by winning over the battlefield’,’Pass through the Dongsuwon toll gate high pass’, and’Oh the toll gate fee is cheaper than victory points.

After the game, coach Kim Sang-sik said, “I told the players that a lot of things would happen outside of the game if I went to the Suwon World Cup Stadium. Our players did well,” he said. “It’s not a smooth recruitment of Baek Seung-ho. There seem to be various misunderstandings. It’s difficult to say everything here. I hope that Seung-ho Baek is our player so that the misunderstanding can be resolved well.”

And, “I am a beginner driver, so it is true that I am inexperienced in driving. But I am not a sneaky person.”

It’s a war version. There are also voices calling for a hotter fight for the box office. The K-League rivalry has been evaluated as too gentle. It is argued that the K-League also needs an extreme confrontation like Suwon-Jeonbuk. That’s why some fans raise their voices to say “more provocative.”

On the other hand, there are also views that see this as a mess. It is not a rival’s competition that encourages local sentiment in a personal attack, it is just a criticism for criticism. This is seen as an act that degrades the K-League. It is also a matter of debate whether it is correct for the club to officially intervene in the fights of fans. Some fans emphasized, “You have to act with common sense. Let’s be self-respecting.”
