Supported KRW 311.2 billion for new and renewable supply

Building PV and BIPV support increased

[투데이에너지 송명규 기자] The government will significantly expand the scale of support for new and renewable energy supply projects, such as increasing the limit for solar power in buildings this year and expanding the BIPV (Integrated Building Solar Power) budget.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Sung Yun-mo) announced on the 5th that the ‘2021 new and renewable energy supply support project (housing support, building support, etc.)’ was announced and the application was accepted.

The supply support project supports part of the installation cost when the owner of a house or building installs new and renewable energy facilities such as solar power and geothermal heat for self-consumption, and the scale of the project reflects the trend of increasing demand for installation of new and renewable energy compared to the 2020s. %, an increase of 33 billion won to 311.2 billion won.

The housing/building support project, which provides a total of KRW 143.5 billion, provides partial support for installation costs when installing new and renewable energy facilities for self-consumption in detached houses, apartment houses, shopping centers, factories, etc. Starting this year, we have increased the capacity for solar power subsidies in buildings from 50kW to 200kW in consideration of the high desired installation capacity for factories and distribution warehouses.

In addition, the pilot supply project to promote the commercialization of products developed through national R&D expanded from 5 billion won last year to 10 billion won this year, and the BIPV budget increased from 500 million won last year to 10.5 billion won this year. Enlarged.

In the case of housing support, support is provided for installation of new and renewable energy facilities such as solar, solar, and geothermal energy in detached houses, apartment houses, and public rental houses. Building support is provided for buildings and facilities (parking lot, soundproof walls, etc.) such as shopping centers and factories. ) To support the installation cost when installing new and renewable energy facilities.

The applicant is a house and building owner, and the installation cost subsidy rate is 50% (70% for BIPV and fuel cells). Installation capacity is available up to 3.3kW or less for detached houses, 30kW or less for apartment houses, and 200kW for buildings and facilities such as shopping centers and factories.

In the case of convergence support and regional support this year, KRW 167.7 billion will be invested. Convergence Support provides support for installation costs for projects that converge two or more types of renewable energy sources such as solar, solar, and geothermal energy for the target of complex support such as housing, shopping malls, and public institutions.

Local support is supported when installing new and renewable energy facilities in buildings and facilities owned or managed by local governments, and social welfare facilities. In particular, reflecting the growing demand for local participation in the Green New Deal, the budget for convergence support in 2021 was expanded to KRW 157.7 billion, a 40% increase from the previous year’s budget of KRW 121.2 billion.

In the case of the convergence support project and regional support project, it is planned to select the local government (or consortium) to perform the project by receiving applications for the project in 2022, and will be finally selected in September of this year through public evaluation and general evaluation. .

In this competition, in order to expand the supply of new and renewable energy facilities to local public facilities and social welfare facilities, such as community centers and village halls, the proportion of local government spending was increased (from 45% to now 50%). Improvements have been made so that support is available from the design stage for the installed capacity that exceeds the ratio of mandatory installation of new and renewable energy.

In addition, in consideration of the purpose of the convergence support project, the system was reorganized to expand the supply of various new and renewable energy sources, such as granting additional points when supplying energy sources other than solar power over a certain ratio, such as solar heat and geothermal heat.

Eligibility for application is a local government or a local government (public institution) consortium, and the installation cost subsidy rate is 50% (70% for BIPV and fuel cells).

The Ministry of Industry said that through the supply support project in 2021, a total of 295MW of new and renewable energy facilities will be expanded by utilizing idle spaces such as building rooftops and parking lots, resulting in an annual reduction of 58 billion won in electricity bills and 170,000 tons of CO₂ .

In addition, he explained that he will make every effort to ensure the safety of the public as a top priority through inspection of new and renewable energy facilities installed as a supply project before the concentrated period of storm and flood damage in summer, and through thorough installation confirmation and follow-up management.

Meanwhile, the Korea Energy Agency, which is the carrying out of this project, operates a consumer damage call center (1670-4260) to pretend to be a government project related to the installation of solar power facilities and to prevent damage to consumers. //greenhome.kemco.or.kr).
