“Supported by Chairman Park Chan-gu” Kumho Petrochemical’s affiliated unions entrusted one-of-a-kind negotiations to management

[이데일리 김영수 기자] The Chemical Group announced on the 18th that the labor unions of its affiliates Kumho P&B Chemical, Kumho Mitsui Chemical, Kumho Polychem, and Kumho T&L have each delegated all matters related to wages and collective agreements to the management.

Following the delegation of the three unions of Kumho Petrochemical on the 11th, the unions of the four major affiliates also expressed their support for the company.

At this power of attorney delivery ceremony, the labor and management of Kumho Petrochemical Group decided to join forces to achieve the group’s new vision and mid- to long-term growth. Oh Hyun-woo, chairman of the Kumho Mitsui Chemicals union, emphasized the meaning, saying, “Our union has decided to make this delegation considering the future of the Kumho Petrochemical Group rather than the immediate interests.”

In response, Chairman Park Chan-koo said, “I am grateful that Kumho Petrochemical and other unions of the group have shown their faith in the company.”

Meanwhile, Kumho Petrochemical Group consists of 12 companies including Kumho Petrochemical, Kumho P&B Chemical, Kumho Mitsui Chemical, Kumho Polychem, Kumho Development Corporation, Kumho T&L, and Korea Energy Power Plant. Kumho Petrochemical Group recently announced its new vision’solution partner that creates a common future with more than chemistry’ on its 50th anniversary in 2020.
