Hanwha Group announced on the 24th that it has selected 29 targets for the ‘2020 Happy Sunshine’ campaign, which installs and supports solar power generation facilities free of charge in social welfare facilities.

The total power generation capacity is 173kW (kilowatts), which corresponds to the electricity used by 57 households in general houses.

Seon-ae Lim, head of the Jinjam Children’s Center in Daejeon, selected for this year’s support. I think I can spend this winter warmly without worry.”

The’Happy Sunshine’ campaign is an eco-friendly energy social contribution program using solar power, an eco-friendly energy business of Hanwha Group.

Solar power generation facilities are donated free of charge to social welfare facilities, and the reduced electricity bills can be used for other welfare services.

Even after installation, safety accidents such as maintenance of solar power generation facilities and monitoring of power generation can be prevented in advance.

Support targets are welfare institutions such as general welfare centers and regional children’s centers across the country. It also included individuals and facilities with public interest such as social enterprises.

In particular, considering the size and location of the facility, and electricity usage, the places where the need for solar power generation facilities is urgent were selected first.

For 10 years from 2011, a total of 320 welfare facilities were provided with 2187kW solar power generation facilities. It is equivalent to planting more than 910,000 pine trees (20 years old).
