‘Hulk’ Bryson Dishambo (US) jumped the water hazard with a 370 yards long hit.

DeChambo is a birdie in the 3rd round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational (total prize money of $9.3 million) held at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge (par 72, 7454 yards) in Orlando, Florida, USA on the 7th (Korean time). He tied 6 and 2 bogies to record a 14-under-par 68. It is a tie for 2nd place, one shot behind Lee Westwood (England, 11-under-par 205) with 206 shots in the middle total.

The 6th hole (par 5) of this tournament is a hole that has attracted a lot of attention. It is officially 555 yards, and the lake is located in the middle and is supposed to turn to the side and attack.

However, crossing the lake can also be an option. If you can hit 350 yards or more with a driver, you can go beyond the water hazard and aim at the original temperature.

Long hitter De Chambo drew attention by practicing targeting the green directly in the practice round prior to the competition. He also said that if conditions such as the wind were right, he would go across the lake and stare at the green.

DeChambo, who went back to the lake in the first and second rounds, finally aimed for the green in the third round. DeChambo swung hard and the ball went over the lake. Although it fell on the right side of the green and failed at one temperature, the flying distance came out a whopping 370 yards. DeChambo raised his arms and showed satisfaction.

DeChambo couldn’t put his second shot on the green, but he ended the sixth hole by catching a birdie.

The golf world is also surprised by DeChambo’s attack on the 6th hole. Fox Sports said, “The golf world fell in shock with the monster-like drive of D’Chambo.”

DeChambo couldn’t hide his excitement. Through ESPN, DeChambo said, “I felt like I returned as a child again. After making a shot, I felt as if I won the tournament. I was excited to see the ball not falling into the water. I am happy to give the fans pleasure.” I expressed my feelings.
