It is highly likely that the truth of the suspicion of sexual violence in the past surrounding FC Seoul, Ki Sung-yong, 32, will be investigated in court.
Ki Sung-yong said that after the Suwon FC match in the 2nd round of the 2021 K-League 1 held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 7th, “a lawyer was appointed for legal response”. He emphasized, “Even if no one is talking, I want to be the first to reveal the facts.”
Ki Sung-yong also said, “There is no burden at all,” regarding the concern that the court workshop could interfere with the game.
Attorney Park Ji-hoon (current law firm), who raised the suspicion of Ki Sung-yong’s sexual violence, also showed confidence in the court battle.
Attorney Park said through the media that day, “We are waiting for a lawsuit to come in.” “I think it’s not okay to go overboard, and I have the confidence to reveal the truth in court.”
He said, “We can only reveal evidence when Ki Sung-yong sues us for defamation. We are waiting for a lawsuit to find out the truth.” “We are not doing this to embarrass Ki Sung-yong. Victims want Ki Sung-yong to apologize with sincerity,” he added.
Last month, attorney Park revealed to the media that they had been raped by Ki Sung-yong and his colleagues in elementary school. The day after the suspicion was raised, Ki Sung-yong insisted innocent, saying, “If you have evidence, bring it with me.”
Attorney Park said, “There is definite evidence,” and “Please sue now. I will present evidence in court.”
