Announcer Bae Seong-jae (44) submits his resignation to SBS and begins his career as a freelancer.
On the afternoon of the 16th, SBS said, “Announcer Bae Sung-jae submitted his resignation. Apart from the submission of resignation, we are discussing with the company with various possibilities open.”
Announcer Bae Seong-jae’s resignation rumor has been around broadcasters since last year, but it is reported that there was a strong pressure from the management.
He is known to have expressed his gratitude to SBS last month, who has been struggling since then.
Bae Seong-jae has built an unrivaled area in SBS SPOP broadcast. He participated in the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, Russia World Cup, and Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games as a caster.
Accordingly, announcer Bae Sung-jae is expected to flexibly work with SBS platforms and programs such as SBS Sports and YouTube even after the declaration as a freelancer. In particular, there are serious sports issues such as the Tokyo Olympics scheduled to be held in July this year and the Qatar World Cup scheduled for November 2022.
However, in the new video of’Red Bae Chungi’, the YouTube channel of SBS Power FM’Bae Sung Jae’s Ten’ uploaded that day, Bae Sung Jae said, “I haven’t paid my resignation yet.” It seems to be a subtle difference between the verbal announcement and the submission of official resignation.
Bae Seong-jae said, “SBS gave me a lot of thankful suggestions. I’ll tell you when it comes to conclusions soon.”
Bae Sung-jae joined SBS in 2006 as an announcer for the 14th term and has grown into a sports broadcaster as well as a sports broadcaster by broadcasting large international sports events. It is famous for having a strong friendship with famous sports stars and for playing the role of the couple Park Ji-sung and Kim Min-ji.
