The financial authorities and financial associations are stepping up to strengthen public relations and education on the’Financial Consumer Protection Act’, which is in effect from today.

According to the Financial Services Commission on the 25th, a leaflet was prepared and posted in the branch of a financial company so that financial consumers would not be unable to exercise the rights guaranteed under the Financial Law on financial transactions.

The information leaflet introduces the newly introduced consumer rights under the law of law, such as the right to withdraw subscription, the right to terminate illegal contracts, and the right to request data.

It also explains the six sales principles that financial companies must follow when selling financial products, such as complying with the suitability and adequacy principles and the obligation to explain, while financial consumers should take care to enhance their rights and interests, such as checking important matters in financial transactions. In addition, it plans to cooperate with the Korea Financial Consumer Protection Foundation to produce a lecture plan for the gold law law and provide education on the gold law law through seven financial education institutions.
