StoryWiz to plan and develop movie IP in partnership with Takeone CompanyㆍSafe House

KT’s subsidiary and content specialized company’Storywiz’ has signed a business agreement with the comprehensive content production company’Take One Company’ and the story production’Safe House’ for the planning and development of intellectual property rights (IP) for movies.

The agreement ceremony took place on the 8th at the StoryWiz office building. Dae-jin Jeon, CEO of StoryWiz, Min-chae Jeong, CEO of Takeone Company, and Hong-ik Kim, CEO of Safe House attended the event. The three companies decided to conduct joint planning and development of movie IP by consolidating their content IP-related capabilities and know-how, and discussed future collaboration directions.

The three companies combine the IP planning and development expertise of each company to conduct a joint movie IP planning and development project. The core of the project is to jointly plan and develop movie IP by three companies using the IP of Safe House, a publisher specializing in genre novels.

In the future, the three companies plan to actively collaborate for IP planning development and development, and plan and develop in the first half of the year and prepare in advance for film production. In addition, the project is promoted with the aim of broadcasting various platforms such as theaters and KT media channels within this year.

Dae-jin Jeon, CEO of StoryWiz, said, “With this cooperation, StoryWiz plans to play a role as a KT group content advance base by demonstrating its content planning and development capabilities.”

Jeong Min-chae, CEO of Takeone Company, said, “I want to make a successful case for film IP production, and to inform the world of’Take One Company, a production company that utilizes IP best.”

On the other hand, StoryWiz, a content company based on web novels and webtoons, was founded in February last year by spun off the KT web novel business field. It planned and developed the source IP and aired the drama’Color Rush’, and is expanding its scope to new OSMU content businesses such as movies and dramas in addition to web fiction and webtoon production and distribution, such as collaborating with MBC through the web novel platform’Blyth’.
