A’non-face-to-face corporate briefing (IR)’ is held for companies in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector that are having difficulty attracting investment due to the prolonged period of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19, Corona 19).

The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 4th that to support ventures and start-ups in the ICT field, it will regularly hold non-face-to-face company briefings with large companies, venture capitalists, and policy financial institutions, including three mobile communication companies.

The non-face-to-face company briefing is a place to explain the company’s technology and vision online so that promising ICT companies can receive investment from overseas companies in preparation for the post-corona era. The Ministry of Science and Technology has held non-face-to-face business briefings on a regular basis since May last year, helping startups and small and medium-sized businesses to avoid shortages of funds due to the prolonged Corona 19.

The Ministry of Science and Technology will hold a non-face-to-face corporate briefing in April-July this year, divided into four investor groups, including telecommunications companies, large corporations and fund companies, domestic venture investment companies, and overseas venture capital and global companies. In the telecommunications group, three domestic mobile telecommunications companies, such as SK, KT, and LG U+, and other special telecommunications companies, such as SK Tellink, KT Powertel, and LG Hello Vision, will participate, and company briefings will be held on the 29th, May 27th, and July 1st of this month.

Conglomerates and fund companies will participate in large corporations such as Samsung Electronics, LG CNS, POSCO, and Lotte, as well as credit guarantee funds and technology guarantee funds, and hold corporate briefings on the 30th, May 28th, and June 23rd of this month. A group of domestic venture investment companies will hold corporate briefings on the 22nd, May 27th, and June 24th of this month, and the corporate briefings of overseas venture capital and global companies will be held in the form of regular recruitment whenever there is a supporting company.

Lee Seung-won, Ministry of Science and Technology Information and Communication Industry Policy Officer said, “With the emergence of new normals across the economy and society, various attempts are being made around the world, and we plan to expand various non-face-to-face support projects as well as non-face-to-face business presentations.” .
