Starting today,’AZ Vaccine’ in nursing hospitals over 65

From today (23rd), AstraZeneca vaccination will begin for elderly people 65 years of age or older in nursing homes and facilities. However, because of the elderly and anxiety about the AstraZeneca vaccine, fewer people who agreed to get the vaccine were less than those under 65 a month ago.

Among those over 65 years old, patients and workers in nursing hospitals will receive the vaccine starting today, and residents and workers in nursing and rehabilitation facilities will receive the vaccine starting on the 30th.

The total audience is 375,061.

In nursing hospitals, their own medical staff will inoculate themselves within 2 weeks, and health care and rehabilitation facilities will be inoculated within 6 weeks.

The government received consent from the 11th to last week, and 76.9% of the people said they would get the vaccine.

Compared to the 93.6% consent rate at the time of the survey of nursing hospitals and facilities under the age of 65 a month ago, it is quite different.

In particular, among those 65 years of age or older, the consent rate of hospitalized patients was 72.9%, which was less than that of workers.

Health officials have also said they will try to improve the credibility of the vaccine and relieve the anxiety of the vaccinators.
