Start-up S-Lab Asia participates in the distribution of COVID-19 vaccine… Export ahead

Cold chain logistics startup S.Lab ASIA announced on the 3rd that it will participate in the distribution of a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine in Korea.

S-Lab Asia CEO Lee Soo-ah said at a press conference held in Sangyeonjae, Jung-gu, Seoul that morning, it has signed a contract to supply its fresh shipping box’Greenie Medi’ to a domestic Corona 19 vaccine distributor.

S-Lab Asia is a cold chain logistics startup established in 2015, and has developed Greeny Medi to replace the existing air container or styrofoam box.

Greeny Medi is used for both domestically consigned vaccines and overseas imported vaccines.

Greeny Medi consists of vacuum insulation and insulation boxes. The insulation box is made of expanded polypropylene (EPP), an eco-friendly material.

S-Lab Asia adjusts the box temperature by putting dry ice or its own refrigerant’Greeny Pack’ according to the required temperature.

Products below -60 degrees Celsius and images 2 to 8 degrees Celsius are currently being produced, and products of -15 to 25 degrees Celsius are being developed.

Representative Lee said, “AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Modena, Janssen, etc. can transport all Corona 19 vaccines.”

Greeny Medi is available in 8ℓ, 13ℓ, and 50ℓ products, and custom-made by size is also available. The temperature holding time can be 72 hours or up to 120 to 140 hours.

S-Lab Asia is developing and upgrading Greeny Medi at its own research institute’Greeny Lab’.

Greeny Lab is the only Korean private company to obtain International Safety Transport Association (ISTA) certification.

It has acquired both the cold chain packaging development and performance measurement test certification (ISTA 7D) and the impact measurement test certification (ISTA 7E) of external temperature changes on the product inside the shipping packaging.

S-Lab Asia was primarily focused on delivering fresh food such as organic dairy products and seasonal fruits and vegetables. With the distribution of the Corona 19 vaccine, it has expanded its scope to delivery of medicines.

Currently, it is exporting Greeny Boxes with offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and the United States, and is discussing exports for distribution of Corona 19 vaccines with Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines.

S-Lab Asia has been working with TBT, WeVentures, BNK, and Hyundai Motors.[005380], Ernst Ventures, SparkLab, Shinhan Capital, etc., attracted an investment of 8 billion won.

Representative Lee Soo-ah said, “We will do our best to cooperate for the safe distribution of the Corona 19 vaccine.”
