Starting today, the year-end settlement simplified service that allows you to view the year-end settlement details at a glance on the National Tax Service’s hometax website begins.

From this year, you can use the service with private certificates such as PASS and Kakao as well as existing public certificates and financial certificates.

The number of deductions that can be viewed has also increased.

For the purchase of glasses, medical insurance for injuries, and donations for disaster support, the National Tax Service collects payment details and provides data.

In addition, if you rent a public rental housing with a total salary of 70 million won or less and a market price of 300 million won or less, you can receive a tax deduction of 10% of the monthly rent, which can also be viewed in the simplified service.

Deductions omitted from the simplified service must be received by the worker and submitted to the company, and if the medical expense details are not inquired or are not true, report it by the 18th and the IRS will receive the medical institution data and make a final decision.

In this year-end settlement, the credit card income deduction will be greatly expanded.

From March, when the Corona 19 spread in earnest, the credit card deduction rate will increase to 30%, debit card and cash receipts will rise to 60%, and from April to July, 80% will be applied regardless.

The income deduction limit is also increased by 300,000 won depending on the total salary section, and additional deductions for traditional markets, public transportation, and book purchases are available by 1 million won each.

The National Tax Service advised that dual-income workers be cautious as they may incur additional tax if they incorrectly report year-end settlement details, such as deducting their children twice.
