SSG Landers decided to extend the contract by converting Brandon Knight’s foreign pitching advisor to foreign pitching coach on the 16th.

In January, SSG recruited Brandon Knight, who has accumulated abundant experience as a foreign pitcher and coach in the KBO League, as an advisor until March 31 (Wed) to help foreign pitchers adapt smoothly to Korean baseball.

The night advisor has been in charge of foreign pitching management and training support, the overall KBO league, education of Korean culture, etiquette and communication, and mental care, and has supported foreign pitchers’ adaptation to the KBO league.

SSG confirmed that during the camp, the night advisor faithfully performed the athlete management task, not only leading them to adapt to life in Korea, but also the satisfaction of the coaching staff and the field.

Accordingly, the club decided to change the position of night advisor to foreign pitching coach from April 1st and extend the contract until October 31st.

Night coach said, “It is a great luck and an honor to be with SSG this season. I have enjoyed meeting new teams and players for the past month and a half. It was great to have a new relationship with Romac, Font, and LeWiki, and I was grateful that the front desk, coaching staff, and the players all welcomed me. My mission is to lead foreign pitchers well and contribute to the stability and strengthening of the team’s pitching power. I will do my best to help the team in other areas while fulfilling my role.”
